Research Background
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, emotional well-being has become a growing concern, especially among university students. In the post-pandemic era, students continue to face anxiety, stress, and depression. This project aimed to explore how digital tools, guided by UX research, could support emotion regulation tailored to individual needs.
Through my research, I discovered a meaningful relationship between personality traits and individuals' activities. This insight inspired me to develop design guidelines for effective interventions—such as interactive activities—aimed at enhancing emotional and well-being.
The primary goal was to design and evaluate a digital tool for emotion regulation. To guide this, I investigated:
"What are the key psychological and contextual factors affecting emotion regulation?"
"How can known emotion regulation strategies be translated into effective design principles?"
"How can we personalise and adapt digital interventions using AI?"
Then I proposed design solution guidelines for the tool design.
Tool Overview: A personalised, context-aware system generating AI interventions (e.g., prompts, messages, tasks).

Designing for emotion is complex and deeply human. This project deepened my belief in empathetic design and the role of AI as a collaborator, not just a tool. I plan to explore how this framework can be applied in broader well-being and health-tech contexts.
